1  GENERAL RULES

  1. Any competitor is subject to approval and TeslaCorsa reserves the right to disqualify any competitor or vehicle for any reason.
  2. Competitors are classed based on a combination of Tesla model entered and the level of modifications made to the car. There are three vehicle categories (“Quick”, “Extra Quick”, and “Super Quick”) and two classification levels for each category (“Sport” and “GT”.) Any vehicle that exceeds the level of modifications allowed in “GT” will be entered into the “Exhibition” class.
  • The same car may be used for multiple entries (competitors). Multiple competitors must register separately and under two different transponders. You must only run one transponder per session so timing registers correctly.
  • Approved Transponders and TeslaCorsa’s Timing System will be used as the official timing. If a transponder does not function correctly during a session, a competitor can show proof of time with an approved 3rd party device. (Tesla Track Mode, Solo 2, Etc..) Please contact info@teslacorsa.com if you have questions about an approved timing device.
  • TeslaCorsa stewards may re-class any vehicle if the vehicle greatly exceeds its class performance capability.
  • TeslaCorsa stewards may re-class any vehicle if the combination of modifications doesn’t reach minimum requirements. For example: If a vehicle only has a midsize wing installed and no other upgrades, the competitor may be eligible to compete in Sport Class.
  • New production vehicles or variants of the Models introduced during TCC season will automatically be promoted to Exhibition class until TeslaCorsa has verified its capabilities.
  • Any vehicle with a software hack or electronic modification device not listed in Exhibit A, “Approved Software Modifications”,  will be deemed unverified and can only compete in Exhibition Class until TeslaCorsa has verified its capabilities and can categorize it appropriately.
  • If any competitor is found cheating they may be subject to disqualification and banned from TeslaCorsa Challenge.
  • If a competitor questions another competitors classification they can send a challenge notification to the TeslaCorsa stewards or send an email to info@teslacorsa.com

4 SUSPENSION / TIRES

  1. Any competitor’s tire must be readily available to other racers for purchase. If the tire is not readily available, the competitor is disqualified.
  2. The top portion of the tire must fit underneath the fenders and not be viewable from directly above

5 INTERIOR / SAFETY/ MISC

  1. Brake lights must be fully operational in all classes.

  4. Competitors must run all numbered decals required by TeslaCorsa organizers.
  5. All 6-point and 4-point harness systems must be FIA approved.

6 TIME ATTACK FORMAT / POINTS

  1. TeslaCorsa Challenge 2021 will be hosted at Buttonwillow Raceway. Other track events held by TeslaCorsa will be exempt from this challenge.
  2. Eligible competitors must have at least 3 days of track experience with an approved track host.
  3. Competitors may enter into TCC at any point of the season.
  4. Each season is expected to consist of approximately 10 events.
  5. Points will accumulate over the season and the competitor with the most points in each class will win that class.
  6. Only the top four (4) event results per competitor will count toward the season total. Three (3) events from #CW13 and one (1) event from the new Buttonwillow track.
  7. The competitor with the best lap time in each class of each competition day will receive the maximum number of points (13pts). Every subsequent place in that class will receive a number of points corresponding with their place (2nd place = 8pts, 3rd place = 5pts, 4th place = 3pts, 5th place = 2pts, all others = 1pt). All competitors participating at each event will receive an additional +2 points for registering. Therefore the maximum score for each event is 15 points total and the maximum season total is 60 points.
  8. In the event of a tie for the season, the tied competitor with the fastest overall lap time from any TeslaCorsa (Track #CW13) event will be named the winner. Points are not transferable to different classes. You must fill out and sign the tech form to accumulate points. If competitors compete in multiple classes, points must stay within those classes.
  9. Speed Ventures/Tesa Corsa rules and regulations apply to all sessions. Any rules or regulations broken will be subject to disqualification.

7 BONUS TIME TRIAL SESSION

  1. There is one (1) bonus TT Final for every event. This final session is meant to give competitors two full fly laps without obstructions or traffic.
  2. TeslaCorsa stewards will select the top 8-10 fastest cars of the day that qualify for TT finals.
  3. Only GT and Exhibition Class are eligible for TT Finals. TeslaCorsa stewards may make exceptions based on available slots.
  4. TT session may count as a competitor’s fastest lap and can be applied to competitors’ TCC points.
  5. Others that don’t qualify for TT Finals have the opportunity to drive in the 4th session of the day. This provides everyone at Tesla Corsa with the same amount of seat time opportunity.
